1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BeAligned™ (“the Service”), operated by The Layne Project, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BeAligned™ is an AI-powered guided reflection tool designed to help co-parents navigate conflict through a structured seven-phase process based on the BeH2O® methodology. The Service provides:

• Guided AI reflections for co-parenting situations
• Personal value and purpose discovery (Your WHY)
• Multi-perspective exploration (Self, Co-Parent, Child lenses)
• Collaborative option generation and action planning
• Optional access to BeH2O® Certified Coach insights (Deep Think)

3. Important Disclaimers & No Professional Relationship

The BeAligned™ platform incorporates the BeH2O® methodology, developed by Trina Nudson. While Trina Nudson holds extensive professional credentials—including a Juris Doctor (JD), Licensed Bachelor of Social Work (LBSW), Certified Divorce Coach (CDC), Domestic Case Manager, Certified Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, and Guardian Ad Litem—your use of this Service does not create an attorney-client, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship with Trina Nudson or The Layne Project.

BeAligned™ is NOT:

• Therapy or Counseling: The Service is a reflection tool, not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.
• Legal Advice: Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice. The Service does not provide legal guidance regarding custody, divorce, or family law matters. Do not rely on it in lieu of a practicing attorney.
• Crisis Support: If you are in crisis or experiencing domestic violence, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788.
• A Communication Tool: The Service is for personal reflection only. It does not send messages to your co-parent or any third party.

4. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Reflection Data Ownership

You own your reflections. While we store your reflection data to provide the Service, you retain full ownership of the content you create. You may export or delete your data at any time.

We will never share your individual reflection content with your co-parent, legal professionals, courts, or any third party without your explicit written consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone
• Attempt to manipulate the AI system to generate harmful content
• Use the Service for any purpose other than personal co-parenting reflection
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to access other users' reflection data

7. AI-Generated Content

The reflection guidance provided by BeAligned™ is generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for high quality and alignment with the BeH2O® methodology, AI responses may occasionally be imperfect. The AI guide:

• Does not judge, diagnose, or prescribe actions
• Maintains neutrality regarding your co-parenting situation
• Centers child wellbeing in all guidance
• May escalate complex situations to a human coach (Deep Think)

8. Research Participation

BeAligned™ partners with Arizona State University (ASU) for research on co-parenting conflict resolution. If you consent to participate, your anonymized and de-identified data may be used for research purposes. Participation is entirely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without affecting your access to the Service.

9. Subscription & Payment

Access to BeAligned™ may require a subscription or promotional code. Subscription terms, pricing, and refund policies will be communicated at the time of purchase. Promotional codes are subject to their own terms and usage limits.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your reflection data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Limitation of Liability

BeAligned™ and The Layne Project are not liable for any outcomes resulting from actions you take based on reflections completed through the Service. The Service is a reflection aid, not a decision-making tool, and should be used in conjunction with professional support when needed.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
